NO ONE FREEZES TO DEATH IN FIFTY-TWO DEGREE WEATHER

and Sunny D is not a substitute for Tropicana,

and Monday is not the first day of the week,

and Christmas does not fall one week after Thanksgiving,

and the moon you see in Florida is the same moon you see back at home,

and my first husband is not your father,

and everyone thinks Sunday nights are depressing, not just you,

and we would’ve had more kids but there were the seizures, of course,

and nobody drinks alcohol because they like the taste,

and So and So’s mother had an affair with So and So’s father, you know,

and if someone says they love their job, then they’re lying,

and he never really liked you, you were just his decoy,

and you’ll be lucky if you find a man who

doesn’t

do that,

and don’t you know it’s her husband who gave her that cancer,
